WFA National League announced 2014/2015 schedule

England’s Wheelchair Football Association announced the national league schedule for the 2014/2015 season last night. The first games are scheduled to be played starting on September 9, with the season ending in late April. All regular season games are scheduled to be played at the Lee Westwood Sports Centre.



Last year’s league champions Northern Thunder open their season against Nottingham Forest PFC in the morning, and then meet Sporting Club Albion later in the day.


This season has twelve teams competing, including Aspire PFC, Bolton Bullets, Brighton & Hove Albion PFC, Evergreen, Manchester PFC, Northern Thunder Blues, Northern Thunder, Nottingham Forest PFC, Nottingham PFC, Sporting Club Albion Throstles, Sporting Club Albion and Villa Rockets.

There appears to have been some changes from last season, with four teams not competing again including Sport Club Albion, Norwich City, Reading PFC, and Celtic Storm.
