This Sunday, wheelchair Gaelic football  is scheduled to take place at the Irish Wheelchair Association Respite Centre in Clontarf, Ireland from 10:00 AM to noon local time.  Players attending are encouraged to bring their county jerseys.

It is one of three upcoming wheelchair Gaelic football events taking place in Ireland in upcoming months.  Following this Sunday’s event, the next schedule event is on August 2, with the last scheduled event on September 19.

The game is a variant of Gaelic football, and is played indoors with 5 players per side.  Each team has four outfield players and the goalkeeper.  Scoring is done via a striking action.  Goals and points are tallied the same way as the running version of the sport.
