World Taekwondo Federation Council enacted “WTF Para-Taekwondo Bylaw”

On Monday, the World Taekwondo Federation (WTF) Council enacted “WTF Para-Taekwondo Bylaw” after it passe an e-vote by the council.
The Bylaw defines two types of disability Taekwondo, Para-Taekwondo and Deaf Taekwondo. “Para-Taekwondo is Taekwondo for persons with physical, sensory and intellectual disabilities. Deaf-Taekwondo is Taekwondo for persons who are deaf.” The bylaws cover both types.
They also explain the Para-Taekwondo Governing Board (ParaGB), and its role in the World Taekwondo Federation, with ParaGB reporting to the WTF Council, General Assembly and WTF President. ParaGB will have ten members who serve two-year terms, and members are tasked with governing both the Para and Deaf sides of the sport as part of the WTF. The document goes on to define how members are chosen and what the role for each member is.
ParaGB will have several standing committees, including Para-Taekwondo Technical & Games Committee, Classification Committee, Para-Taekwondo Education Committee, Para-Taekwondo Research and Development Committee, Para-Taekwondo Marketing and Media Committee, and Para-Athletes Committee.
